Program Summary:
The Chocolate Party was a Six Fold where the girls of Music City baked desserts for a bake sale and learned about world hunger and Jewish blessings!
Full Description:
Overview:
Who- Music City BBG
Where- A BBG's house
When- April 25, 2009
The program started off with a Havalah service and keeping with the chocolate theme, there was melted chocolate instead of spices!
Then the girls moved into the kitchen to start baking. Everything was made with chocolate-the girls made brownies, cookies, and chocolate covered pretzels to sell at the AZA Spaghetti Supper the next day, and they listened to Britney Spears and NSYNC while baking.
Then it was time for the social action- everyone learned about world hunger and its devastating affects on millions of people all over the world. Then the girls participated in a world hunger pop quiz. The winner received Hershey's Kisses. see attachment for world hunger statistics
For Community Service, the girls brought in canned goods for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Then the girls played a game of blessings bingo to learn about all the different blessings Jews say over their food. see attachment for bingo board
