Program Summary:

This is a separates program that was used at Cotton States' MIT/AIT 2008. It explores what BBYO offers and has a creative twist to it.

Full Description:

Everyone will begin outside. With candles, BBG will be written in the middle of the room. As the girls enter the dark room, they will be told to sit in three circles (each circle around another).

The leaders of the program will speak about what the three words, B'nai B'rith Girls, mean. Then, the speakers will say a phrase and clap. Then, they will repeat it, and each time that they do, the next circle of people will join. Once the outermost circle has been reached, it will go backwards, each circle ceasing to say the phrase, down until the leaders are the only ones left speaking.

Then the participants will be shown a wall of fears and will be told that whenever they fear something, BBG is the place to turn. For the closing of the program, all of the girls will be given pillow cases. On the pillow cases, they will write their name, chapter and region. Then, all of the girls in the room will be able to sign each others' pillow cases and write nice notes- all while jamming out to some music.

Supplies needed:
pillowcases
sharpies
tea light candles

Submitter's Suggestions:

Make sure that you set the mood at the beginning of the program, especially if this is being run with New Members. This program was made for new members. It is  a simple program- it captures the audience and gives them something tangible to do!

It worked really well with all of the MITs from Cotton States!!
