7:30- 8: 15 smoothies and candle holder decorating
each of the board members brought a blender and we made strawberry-banana smoothies to drink while we decorated with puffy paint a candle holder that a tea light was put in.
8:15-8:30 Havdalah:
Shabbat candles fill the house with a light that is beautiful! At havdalah we light a candle to show the ending beauties of Shabbat. We take a moment during havdalah to hold in the peacefulness of Shabbat for a few more minutes until we need to get back to our busy lives. We also take this time to reflect on the week that has just passed. Shabbat is the day of rest that is meant for us to look around and appreciate how beautiful the world is. Although Havdallah is the end of Shabbat, it is also the beginning of a new week,a beautiful rebirth. Havdallah gives us a few more minutes to hold on to Shabbat as we greet the new week. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything good about last week, as well as to get excited for the week to come!
