Program Summary:
Erich Weiss AZA and Sababa BBG sold tickets and set up chairs for the night and day events of the San Antonio Batttle of the Flowers Parade.
Full Description:
Well before the event, Erich Weiss and Sababa sold tickets to anybody who wanted seats for the annual Battle of Flowers Parade in downtown San Antonio by utilizing the availability of San Antonio's JCC. The money gained from selling the parade tickets funded the entire year of BBYO expenses for both chapters. For the day parade, the chapters had to leave at 9:00 in the morning from the JCC to have time to get downtown and set up chairs before people started arriving. For the night parade the next day, the chapters had to leave at 3:00 in the afternoon. On both days, there was ample time after setting up chairs to walk to a nearby mall and eat lunch/dinner and just hang out before the parade started. After the parades ended, we drove back to the JCC.
Submitter's Suggestions:
Have plenty of time to set up chairs, and work out a system beforehand. If you don't, the church across the street will beat you.
