Program Summary:
As a great way to end the term, we had a paint war with Cyrus Adler AZA. It was a blast and attendance was very high!
Full Description:
About a week and a half before the program, we sent out a flyer to the chapter (see attachment). On the flyer, we instructed each girl to wear a white t-shit and shorts she didn't mind ruining with paint. We also suggested that each girl bring a towel and compete change of clothes for later.
After several structured programs, we felt like it was necessary to just have a night to go crazy and just have some unstructured fun. We held the program outside in a big backyard - a lot of open space is needed. We started off by giving everyone a plastic bottle of watered-down paint. People just began spraying each other with the bottles and it was a great way to warm-up and get dirty quickly. Next, we set out the paint in plastic containers and everyone stuck their hands in and just tagged each other with paint. We also played Ninja (with our hands covered in paint, of course) and freeze tag. Although there was not a lot of structured activity, everyone had a lot of fun. Structure was not needed in this case.
Leanna, our N'siah, and I went out several hours before the program to buy all of the supplies.
Because we advertised so well, we had around 30 girls in attendance! This program was also the perfect way to get members excited again!
Materials: Tempura paint (several different colors and amount should depend on expected attendance), a hose, several large plastic tarps, containers for the paint, empty plastic bottles, and music.
Submitter's Suggestions:
Get to the location early and set up all the paint that you plan on having out so that you don't need to scramble to set out more paint in the midst of the chaos.
