Program Summary:

This night was all about sisterhood. In a creative and fun way our chapter bonded and learned just exactly how to be sisters with an exciting twist at the end!

Some Background Info:
This program was run by River City in 1999 and since we needed some sisterhood restoration I thought this program would be perfect to have but we gave it our own special twist.

Supplies:
time capsule
markers
four separate rooms
havdallah supplies

Here is a message sent while planning the fold that should explain everything:

Pregame:
-Ask every member to bring a picture or SMALL object that reminds them of a time when they felt sisterhood in River City was the strongest. If it is a picture then on the back they need to write their NAME, DATE, and REASON it reminds them of sisterhood in River City.
-MAKE SURE ALL MEMBERS ARE COMING TO THIS FOLD! This fold truly is going to be amazing and I want EVERYONE to come! So if you will Sami CALL THE SENIORS, Hayley CALL THE JUNIORS, Betsy and Rachel CALL THE SOPHMORES, and Erin CALL THE FRESHMAN! Make sure everyone wants to attend and get them pumped!

Short Summary of Fold:
While everyone is walking in we mark their hand with either an orange, blue, or black X to designate them into three groups. Then for a little while we can all eat and socialize (KEEP IT SHORT) Next we all come together and celebrate Havdallah. ONCE Havdallah is over I come RUNNING in screaming Sisterhood BBG has been murdered and I read a short intro to the fold describing the scene of the crime. The three suspects are Talks-To-Much-At-Programs BBG, Bitchy BBG, and Power BBG. Then everyone splits into their designated groups and each "suspect" rotates within the groups and reads their testimony(reason they are innocent). Each group then decides who they think killed Sisterhood BBG. We all then reconvene as one group and each group thinks they are going to present their decision BUT they don't! I then RUN in again and scream I have found a tape made by Sisterhood BBG and she tells us who her killer is! The tape ends up blaming all of the BBGs for killing her because not just one "BBG" can kill the sisterhood but it takes all three. The tape will be followed by a slideshow being put together by Erin with pictures of all of River City and basically the moral of the story is WE NEED SISTERHOOD. After the slideshow we will ask everyone to put their pictures that they brought into the time capsule that will be opened in 2054! THE END

Betsy:
-Making time capsule w/Rachel
-Typing up cards with the paragraphs for Talk-to-Much, Bitchy, and Power

Rachel:
-Making time capsule w/Betsy
-Organizing food with the families (Stephanie is going to send you the list)
-Also can your parents be chaperones? If not I will ask mine, I just need to know ASAP!

Sami:
-Call RC Alumni and ask them if we can use the letters they wrote last year and put them in the time capsule! (Stephanie will send you a list and numbers of who you need to call)

Erin:
-Make slideshow of "sisterhood" photos and include Eliza's schpiel in the beginning! Meet with Eliza as soon as possible so it's easier for you to get it done on time, and don't forget to burn it on a DVD!

Hayley:
-You are in charge of Havdallah but WORK WITH CAROLINE and at the meeting we talked about having it pitch black with a few candles and somehow incorporating sisterhood discussions and maybe a few cute songs like Hey, Soul Sister or All You Need is Love, etc. BUT we need it pitch black at least at the end because that is how we start the actual program!

Baylee:
-Make Facebook event!
-Type a Paragraph about the time capsule
-Sort of chaperone problemo
-Include in weekly email to bring a picture to the fold

^^We need to make sure these three people are forsure coming to the fold! Don't tell them much about it because I want it to be a HUGE surprise but tell them we NEEEED them there and that they have a role to play! Also maybe we should tell them to get their around 6 so we can go over it with them!

ALSO while everyone is passing around the time capsule all of YOU are going to read a short paragraph explaining why we are doing the time capsule and why this fold was so special. The reason it is so special is because we are reusing a fold that was done in 1999! I may be the only person that thinks that is so cool but I THINK IT'S AWESOME.

Also look at the attached write up for the parts and a timeline to go by. We also ran a Havdallah service before this program and the script for it is also uploaded. Finally for the tape of Sisterhood BBG's final words we made a video.
