    Program Summary:

MBA program to let girls know that they don't need silly things like personality quizzes to help them find who they are.

    Full Description:

Intro- something along the lines of “Your personality defines who you are. Your qualities, emotions, characteristics, your personal identity. Your inner self may be something that you hide. Maybe there’s somethings you aren’t proud of or something you conceal in the hopes of portraying someone else. Everybody’s personality is different, custom fit to what you want to come across as. Before we start our project, we are going to have everyone take a personality test. Be honest and don’t say what you want yourself to be, but actually answer the questions based on who you think you are.” Hand out index cards, pens and a personality quiz. Have girls "calculate" results and get in a circle for discussion. Have the girls quickly share their results.

Explain... “Now, rip your quiz up. We did have everyone take these quizzes for a reason. You probably had never taken this precise quiz before, but girls do this to them selves all the time, in an attempt to find a self identity. On Facebook we take the “What color nail polish fits your personality?” or “What Taylor Swift song describes your life,” “What Gossip Girl character would you be” tests. We do this to categorize ourselves. We let others tell us who we are, how we act. Though these quizzes are harmless and more or less fun, we don’t need them. Each and every girl in this room doesn’t need society to tell them who they are. Every girl in this room is her own person, her own unique individual and we share common bonds. So even if you haven’t found the exact definition of who you yet, you will. Every girl here knows what she likes and knows herself well enough to share how special she is with each one of us!"
