Program Summary:
a fun way to celebrate Sukkot and eat spooey!!
Full Description:
My chapter kallah was planned during sukkot this past year, and in celebration of the holiday and BBG,we built sukkot!
I split the chapter up in two teams, and gave them their materials:
pretzel sticks
icing
sprinkles
other little candies to decorate with
make sure to have plastic on the tables and paper towels around because it can get messy.
and then the directions for building a legitimate sukkah:
- A Sukkah should have four walls
- The material may not be stolen.
- The covering (roof) of the Sukkah, is the S'chach
- S'chach must be left loose, not bundled together or tied down. S'chach must be placed sparsely enough that rain can get in, and preferably sparsely enough that the stars can be seen, but not so sparsely that there is more sunlight than shade
- The S'chach must be put on last.
allow a good 10-15 minutes for everyone to build, then have your advisors and yourself judge the best one!
and lastly, of course, everyone can eat their creations!
Submitter's Suggestions:
split the groups according to amount of participants and amount of supplies. and split supplies fairly.
