    Program Summary:

A very fun program that takes you through the story of Purim.

    Full Description:

0-5: program opens, leader (as King Achashverosh) introduces himself and his trusted advisor Haman (the other leader).  He explains he is in between wives and that there will be a persian idol to choose his next wife.
5-10: Persian Idol Round 1: Singing
Three judges will listen to everybody sing a very small bit of a song and pick who moves on and who doesn't.
10-15: Persian Idol Round 2: Comedy
Everybody moving on does a very quick stand-up act or tells a oke to the judges.  The judges pick 2 finalists.
15-20: Persian Idol Round 3: Freestyle rap
Finalists hold a freestyle rap battle, the winner is crowned the new queen.
20-25: King congratulates queen, Haman interrupts saying that he has found out about a plot to assassinate the king and has narrowed down the suspects.  King says guests will help.  Suspects are put up on a poster:
    •    Ilene Dover, usually seen wearing a yellow scarf, a green hat, and a pink jacket
    •    Ira Rickman, usually seen wearing a skirt, bandanna, and white sneakers
    •    Mike Hawk, usually seen wearing a red and white striped scarf, and a red jacket, and a black hat   (killer)
    •    Ms. Peacock, usually seen wearing a blue boa, heels, and a blue dress
    •    Chris P. Bacon, usually seen wearing a green jacket, and a white scarf, and track spikes
    •    Colonel Mustard, usually seen wearing a yellow hat, and leather shoes, and a trench coat
25-45: Detective game: Groups must find the items.  One item from each suspect will be hidden around the room.  Each group gets a list of clues for where they can find the items.  For example:
o    John Bonham, Chad Smith, Ringo Star (meaning behind the drumset)
45-1:05: King congratulates mordechai for solving the case, he then asks Haman to help him figure out how to reward "someone very special" to him.  Haman asks guests to do it.  The groups can come up with any way they want to reward special person, must present in a funny way.  Best presentation wins and that is how he is rewarded.  King announces after that he is awarding the prize to Mordechai.  Haman is angry because he thought it was for himself, so he tells Mordechai to bow down.  Mordechai only bows to his God, so Haman decides to kill the jews.
1:05-1:25 The groups then play a game called "100" with dice.  The winner gets to decide what day to kill Haman (like when Haman drew lots).
1:25-1:45  Mordechai tells Esther that she needs to tell the King that she is jewish so that the King will stop Haman and his cruelty towards the jews.  She must do it discretely, so it is done through charades.  Each group is given a phrase that they must present to the group as a charade.
1:45-1:50:  King hangs Haman, close program.

Materials: Clothing for detective game, poster paper, marker, lots of dice
