    Program Summary:

The MITs of Star of David BBG were invited to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen to learn the basics of BBYO

    Full Description:

Star MITs came to lunch at a local CPK restaurant. At everyone's seat was a brown paper bag decorated as a "MIT Kit."

    MIT Kit:
bag of m&ms (our chapter candy
    bbg dictionary
    napkin folding instructions

We began the lunch by doing a quick mixer on who everyone was and why they wanted to join BBYO and a different word that rhymes with MIT.

The MIT Mom taught the group about the 6 folds of BBG programming as we folded napkins into swans using 6 folds.

During lunch we talked about programming and conventions and the MIT Mom and Regional Board members answered the MITs questions.

We quietly learned cheers and the table and then went outside after and sang our chapter cheers.

This was a very casual and informal MIT session where very new members learned the gist of BBYO

    Submitter's Suggestions:

Work with the restaurant to make it a fundraiser day at the place as well.
