    Program Summary:

A fantastic creativity event that requires a bit of planning but is so worth it!

    Full Description:

How many of you have seen the Princess Diaries? Remember in the beginning when she is throwing darts at balloons filled with paint with her mom? Well that is exactly what we are going to do. First of all, (with about 5 girls) it would take around an hour and a half to set up. The supplies you need are tarp, cardboard, paint, water balloons, pins, cloth, a turkey baster, and dirty shirts to wear.

SET UP- The most crucial part of this event

    1) Blow up the balloons with air FIRST! Then get up lots of paint in the baster and attach it to the balloon and fill it with paint (the tiniest bit of paint works) Tie it off and put it aside. (If you are doing this outside, which is suggested, don't let the balloons touch the grass. They will pop)

    2) Staple or pin the cloth to the cardboard. Hang it or lay it against a wall. To attach the balloons, take a pin, put it through to top part of the balloon and push it down through the cardboard. Make sure the pin goes all the way through or it will fall!

    3) Give the girls darts to shoot at the balloons and create a masterpiece! Not all girls can shoot at the same time so have some spooey and maybe some Princess Diaries playing for the girls not going.

COST- All of the items needed can be bought at the dollar store or found in a garage. We spent around $6 on this whole program.

    Submitter's Suggestions:

Make sure it is light out when you do it! We lost the darts because we did it at night and had no light. Make sure you have LOTS of tarp! Clean up is a pain but not if you do it right. Wear shirts, especially when setting up. It does get everywhere!
